Lakievia, also referred to as, “Lucky,” is the Founder & Lead Education Catalyst, or Lead Educational Consultant, for STEPS Academic Advising & Education, LLC. Having served as a College Enrollment Specialist, Academic Advisor, Academic Success Coach, and Tutor, Lakievia has nearly a decade of experience in the field of higher education. She also has over 20 years of experience in customer service and youth advocacy work.
Lakievia holds a Bachelor of Science in marketing management, an MBA in management and strategy, a Post-Graduate Certificate in project management, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in strategic leadership. She has also earned two certifications from the Project Management Institute: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and Project Management Professional (PMP). Additionally, Lakievia holds memberships in multiple professional organizations:

Lakievia's profession is that of an Independent Educational Consultant, Life Design Catalyst Coach, Tutor, and Private Academic Advisor, but she refers to herself as an Education Catalyst. Her mission is to promote, inspire, and support immediate, positive change in her students by providing sustainable, healthy, and consistent academic relationships, whether students desire to pursue obtaining a college degree, or not. Having spent her teenage years in the foster care system, and growing up to become one of the few, nation-wide, to obtain a 4-year college degree, Lakievia believes everyone has a story. She is committed to helping others realize and model personal achievement, which is different for everyone. Her passion for students, academics, motivation, learning, continuous development, and improvement make her an excellent Education Catalyst and an asset to students.
